Farmville is just a virtual farming and why there is a need to level up? Well, that is the part which keeps you as an addict to the game. Welcome to the world of virtual farming AKA Farmville.
I assume you know the basics of Farmville if not please take a look at controls guide we posted. When you start, in level 1 you can see that, only few seeds are available to plant and most of the items in the market is locked. To unlock these items and expand your farm, you level up. The basic thing you do in the farming like plowing, planting, buying things earn you some XP (experience) which is needed to step up to the next level. The interesting thing in Farmville is that you need to have neighbors like in the real farming. Apart from basic things that earn you XP, you have to do some tricks so that you gain more XP and reach the next level sooner than others.
This is the market place where you need to buy all the things needed for your farm. See the screenshot below.
When you are in the level 1, you only need 100Xp to reach the next level. As you advance levels, you need more XP. See the screenshot below to see the difference.
In the above screenshot, user is the level 8 and the XP required to reach the next level is just 500XP. Even earning 500Xp is not that easy. Also note that the size of this farm is small. This is the default size you get when you start the game.
In the below image, the user is in the level 28 and requires 5000XP to reach level 29. As I said, earning 5000XP is a tough challenge. Also note that the size of this farm is pretty big that it doesn’t even fit the Farmville screen.
Add Neighbors
First thing you should do is join the Farmville community so that you can add more friends. Add as many friends you can. You need more friends because, when you help them out you gain XP. More friends you help more XP. See the screenshot below
Whenever you help your neighbor, you gain 20 coins and 5XP. So for example let us assume that you have 10 neighbors and you help them
10 * 20 = 200 Coins
5 * 10= 50 XP
REMEMBER EACH XP COUNTS.
Earn XP by Plowing
You earn 1 XP per land plowed. So plow as much land as possible leaving little space in the farm for animals and buildings. For more space, you need to expand the farm.
Again if you want to expand the farm you need more neighbors else you need more Farmville cash. You only get one Farmville cash per level. Also you can buy Farmville cash and coins by paying real money.
Farmville Market
After plowing you have to seed, here comes the tricky part. Go to market and choose the crop which has minimum time to harvest with maximum XP.
AS you see in the screenshot, there is a special seed (limited) which will harvest in 1 day giving 3XP when planted. Use these limited time seeds to gain more XP. Normally, choose crops with 1 day harvest time and 2XP. You can see strawberries have 4 hours harvest time and 1XP. It’s wise to choose this when you below level 10 as you can harvest and reseed every 4 hours. Plant raspberries. You can harvest them in Farmville every 2 hours allowing you to plow and harvest several times in one day if you can. Each time you plant seeds in 1 field, you will gain 1 XP (or experience) point for raspberries and other crops that take less than 1 day to harvest. Remember though, you can harvest them several times per day which will earn you more XPs than if you were to plant crops that harvest in 1 day.
Earn XP by Planting
After buying the seeds, you need to plant the seeds in the land you plowed. As you can see in the screenshot, while you plant you gain XP.
You can also choose to buy different seeds and plant them.
See that when you reach next level, you unlock a lot of new items that you can use in your farm.
Earn XP by buying
If you have enough coins, buy buildings, hay bales, decorative items etc. When you buy those, you gain XP according to the price of the item. If you buy a cottage for 60000 coins you gain 600Xp. Browse through the market for other item price and XP.
After buying, if you want you can sell it as it may occupy more space.
