How to Plow, Plant and Harvest Faster

by Matej on January 13, 2010

I enjoy playing Farmville but like other games in its class, there is sure to be something that annoys me no end. In Farmville, it happens to be the speed in which my farmer plows, plants and harvest. You’ll notice that the farmer actually moves from one plot to the other, whenever you set tasks for him or her. This is horrendously slow, even for a patient person like me. So how can we counter this problem? Three words – Farmville Trapping Glitch! Let’s take a look at how this is done.

Step 1: Position your farmer

Notice that your farmer is most likely to be at the center of the screen whenever the game loads up. Now, use this to your advantage and keep him there. Position the farmer right where he is, and select an object from your Gift box or buy something from the Market. For this guide, we will be using a series of cheery Red Hay Bale.

Step 2: Fence him in Buy just enough hay bales to fence in your farmer. You can see from the image that only 4 on each side, making a grand total of 16 bales are needed to “trap” him in, no more and no less.

Step 3: Complete your tasks! Now, with your farmer “trapped” comfortably inside his hay prison, you are free to do whatever tasks with utter speed and precision! NO more waiting until the lil’ guy or gal painstakingly plows, plants or harvests. Do note that your farmer may sometimes wander off the spot but all you need to do is repeat the process above and you’re good to go!

Note: This “trapping”glitch to speed in-game tasks is also utilized in other Facebook games.
